The existence of a simple 3-(28, 5, 30) design
نویسنده
چکیده
A t-(v, k, A) design is a pair (X, B), where 99 is a collection of subsets of size k (called blocks) from a set X of cardinality u such that every t-element subset of X is contained in exactly 1 blocks of B. If the blocks in GJ are not repeated, the design is said to be simple. It is easy to show that the minimum value of L for which a 3-(28,.5, A) design can possibly exist is 30. The existence of a 3-(28,530) design is known; Hanani, Hartman and Kramer constructed a 3-(28,5,30) design in [Z]. However, their construction produces a

متن کاملWhy Believe That There Is a God?
This article presents an argument for the existence of God, showing that the evident phenomena are best explained by supposing that a God causes them. The argument is based on the inductive force of four very evident general phenomena: that there is a physical Universe; that it is governed by very simple natural laws; that those laws are such as to lead to the existence of human bodies; and tha...
متن کاملSuper-simple balanced incomplete block designs with block size 5 and index 3
In statistical planning of experiments, super-simple designs are the ones providing samples with maximum intersection as small as possible. Super-simple designs are also useful in constructing codes and designs such as superimposed codes and perfect hash families. The existence of super-simple (v, 4, λ)BIBDs have been determined for λ = 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. In this paper, we investigate the existence...
